Who We Are?
Marine Consultancy Services (MCS) is a design-driven marine consultancy firm supporting shipyards, vessel owners, and government agencies across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. Operating as Marine Consultancy Services in India and Marine Consultancy Singapore internationally, the MCS Group delivers practical, design-led solutions tailored for real-world construction and operations.

Our Team & Capability
Our team includes naval architects, marine engineers, mechanical, piping and structural specialists, and experienced AutoCAD drafters — all supported by senior professionals with 30+ years of hands-on experience in ship design and construction. We use a combination of advanced software tools and custom-built calculation frameworks to ensure speed, accuracy, and clarity in every deliverable.
We are known for producing drawings that speak for themselves — clean, complete, and readble even by non-specialists. That’s not just our standard — it’s our identity.

Our Inception
MCS is built on decades of real shipbuilding experience — not just design. The foundation of our firm traces back to Neptune Marine Pvt. Ltd., established in 1987 by Mr. Shibnath Mukherjee. Over three decades, NMPL constructed over 50 vessels, including seven mini bulk carriers ranging from 2,200 to 2,700 DWT — all designed in-house and built to class. Today, MCS carries forward that hands-on ethos — blending shipyard practicality with technical precision in every project.

An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and a gold medalist in Naval Architecture, Mr. Shibnath Mukherjee has been at the forefront of marine design and shipbuilding since the early 1970s. His portfolio spans over 200 vessel designs and 50 successful builds — from cargo ships to defence craft — each delivered with a builder’s mindset and a designer’s precision.
Over the years, he has grown Marine Consultancy from a technical studio into a multi-regional group with its own manufacturing and project execution arms. His focus has always remained clear: enabling smarter, more efficient ships through practical, technically sound solutions.
As a reliable integrated solutions provider in the marine industry, we want to ensure end customers achieve all their operational objectives.
